Development cooperation
The development-oriented approach of the Statistics Poland (Główny Urząd Statystyczny) aligns with the global trend of increasing investments in data systems and official statistics. The Cape Town Global Action Plan for Sustainable Development Data, adopted by the UN Member States, sets out two priority objectives for official statistics: providing timely, reliable, and detailed data as a basis for financing development and making informed decisions, as well as undertaking systematic efforts to improve the quality and availability of information alongside the development of innovative data sources, while ensuring the protection of personal data and privacy.
Polish official statistics are engaged in activities in two complementary areas of development cooperation: “We Learn” and “We Cooperate.”
